Oct/Nov 2025 Favorites
October/November. Scorpio season, Sagittarius season, scaries, lots of leftover Halloween candy, mashed potatoes, and I had pigeon. Sorry I’m combining October + November. This time of year is such a fast, crazy, whiplash of so much fun, amazing things and so much change. But, here we goooooo.
Side note: I am separating music out for this one, because I’m going to write a year in review kind of thing…
What are you reading?
I finished up The Lover by Marguerite Duras. Good & intense!!!
Then I had to switch it up and keep it light with a book by Shelby Van Pelt called Remarkably Bright Creatures. This book was my 19th of the year and such a solid one. It’s lighthearted and sweet, one of those that you make sure you set aside time to read in the morning.
I started Demon Copperhead per the recommendation of a bookstore. I love asking people to help me. Help me find this, that, what I should read next. It makes things more interesting. This book is heavy, and has been taking me a while to get through. Not because it’s bad, but because I can only take a little at once, like the NyQuil I take when I feel a tickle in my throat.
Substacks galore here are my favs rn:
-Allegra (of scoop and clip fame)
-Neverworns (she just posted an article w/ Diane Von Furstenberg, who I love so dearly, I ate that piece up)
I don’t think I’m going to hit my reading goal and I’m trying not to be hard on myself about it.
Would still wear this shirt. Thinking of cutting my hair like this again.
What are you watching?
Went and saw The Longest Walk with Sici…pretty good pretty brutal though. I also saw Bugonia thoughts on that one (I didn’t really like it). But, then I went online and everyone loved it? I don’t know, maybe I’m missing something.
Dancing With Stars began and ended. I watch it the day after because I like to skip around. But, shoutout Robert Irwin. Alix Earle also, what a star.
Dude. I haven’t seen Wicked and am feeling extremely deprived about it.
On a flight I watched all of the Madagascar movies. They’re so good. I was laughing out loud. For real.
My dad, Abass, and me at his party in colorful tights and blue shoes.
Where’d you get that?
Oh sorry, this polka dot orange bag that perfectly goes crossbody? Yeah my friend Vicky made that. Yuhhh it’s my prized possession.
I got the Cleo x Neverworns tee. Their marketing got me so good. I love love love wearing it. So flattering and such a perfect blue color.
Dude to be honest, the winter cramps my style a little bit. Sue a girl for wanting to wear a tanktop year round.
Colorful tights, forever and always.
Got a really cute dress from Brandy Melville (I’m so sorry) but, it is just so cute. Polka dots and navy and fits pretty perfectly.
Omg my Le Bon Shoppe Arc Pants. I am wearing them as I’m typing this, but I have them in cream and black now. I recommend going up a size, they’re more comfy that way. Also Gemini in Chicago sells them so go and grab em.
What are yall doing?
October and November I did a lot.
I got a 10-6 which was literally unreal. I screamed. But, I really hustled my ass off for it and get to be a part of an industry I love so dearly. I have to pinch myself every day. But, feeling very proud and also having to adjust to a new phase of my life. The team is incredible, so welcoming and fun and works so hard.
Halloween was a blast. Art Walk was a trip. We went all around in a pedicab. The weather was awesome and I soaked it in along with my plastic cup of free wine.
We saw Grace Kopp run the marathon. She’s just an amazing woman with so much talent and grace (pun intended).
It was my dad’s birthday on November 1st. Sici and I flew in for an amazing weekend full of so much love and people thinking I was still in college lol. I love my dad’s friends so much they’re the most amazing people. My cup was filled to the brim. Energetically and physically.
Then…I went to EGYPT. WHATTT. It was so insane. Literally jaw dropping beautiful. I ate pigeon which was actually good. Went to the pyramids, rode a camel, learned so much and spent a couple days chillin at the Red Sea. We were celebrating Dad’s 50th and Daniela’s 25th. So it was just full of love and giggles and Sakara beer. A trip I will never ever forget, and am feeling so grateful to have experienced.
This moment in my life I am feeling really emotional in so many ways. I am so happy and running around like crazy. It’s been a whirlwind of a year, with many high high highs and low low lows, but that’s what makes it quite fun. I’m just trying my best to soak it all in…
If you click below you can see pics from Egypt. :)
See you soon XOXO WHINY GRRRL.
