Hi! I’m Whiny Grrrl aka Kora. This website was a long time coming and it’s finally here. If you want to know more about me, there’s a whole article about it, but I’ll give you the rundown real quick.

I am 24, live in Chicago, write, and do many other things. Whiny Grrrl started when I kept flirting the idea to anyone who would listen. Bartenders, friends, acquaintances I met at a party. My friend Grace told me to create an Instagram, and I did. That was two years ago.

People have also asked me how I came up with the name “Whiny Grrrl,” and the answer is I really don’t know, it was like Constantine’s dream, or the Field of Dreams, “If you will build it, they will come.” The grrrl part comes from the Riot Grrrl movement, and the whiny part, that’s just me.

I’m not quite sure what this website will turn into, but I do love music and I do love writing. I do know that this blog will be epic and everyone will want to write for it!

At Whiny Grrrl you can write about literally anything you want. Fashion, food, film, scraped knees, book reviews, gossip, friends, advice, the one time you skinny dipped in the lake, weird metaphors, music interviews, playlists, concert coverage, breakups, falling in love, a list of the same ten songs you listen to on your commute, literally anything.
